Escape Room FAQ
What are the precautions you are taking during Covid?
All games will be private. We have installed UV-C Hepa air filters throughout the facility. Upon arrival, you will call to let us know you are here and we will then call or text you when you can enter the lobby. Waviers will be done online prior to your arrival for a contactless check-in. Hand sanitizing station are available. Face masks are required for staff and players amd we have gloves available for those who wish to wear them. Staff will remain 6ft away from guests. We will be disinfecting puzzle pieces and high touch areas between each game.
Is it scary?
Some rooms may have an element of suspense or an underlying darker theme, but most are not scary. Our Quarantine game does have a live zombie actor which some may find scary. Please see room descriptions before booking.
Can we take pictures of Video?
No. Once inside the room we do not allow any video or pictures to be taken. This is to make sure the experience remains a mystery for the next group of players. If you attempt to take photos or video, you will be removed from the room without refund.
How many players?
Each escape room is different and may hold anywhere from 1-8 players.Currently all games will be PRIVATE. You will not play with anyone outside your group. Please call to book if your group size exceeds 8 players.
Am I really locked in?
Although the door is closed, if an emergency does arise and you need to leave, you may do so. You will also be in constant contact with your game master if you need assistance.
Can I book a private game?
Although Solve It Sherlock Escape Rooms are a great way to meet new people, we understand that you might want a private game. If you would like a private escape room booking, simply book all the slots for that game or choose "Private Booking". There is an additional charge of $10pp for private bookings. Not available on Saturdays.
How long is the game?
Each escape room game is 60 minutes long, but we ask you come 15 minutes early to sign in and hear a short briefing about the room you are about to play from your designated game master. Plan on spending 90 minutes with us.
Are you handicap accessible?
Our rooms are wheelchair accessible! It may not be possible for you to reach all of the clues, but that won't prevent you from being able to solve any of them!
SERVICE DOGS: Please email us if you will be bringing a Service Dog so that we can ensure that we are accommodating you.
Is Alcohol allowed?
The consumption of alcohol on our premises is strictly prohibited, and service will be denied to anyone noticeably intoxicated and will not be entitled to a refund. Besides, this is a game of wit, you will need all your faculties to succeed so save the drinking for afterwards.
Are Outside tools needed?
No. Everything you will need can be found inside the room. Please do not bring outside tools. Our puzzles require mental strength rather than physical so no brute force necessary to open any of the locks or puzzles.
are theRE Age Requirements?
If you are under 15 years of age, you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. If you are under 18 years of age and are coming without a parent or guardian, you will need to fill out a waiver before arriving. If bringing children under the age of 10 we ask you book the entire room. Although you love to spend time with your little darlings, other players outside of your group may not always feel the same. We want everyone to have a good time.
Do I need a Reservation?
Yes, a reservation is necessary, but you can book online easily! If you are not able to book online, please give us a call and we can book for you. Please just have a credit or debit card ready.
How do i book?
Please use the "BOOKING" link above. Select the escape room game you would like to play and then select from the list of available date/times. If you would like to book a slot outside our normal hours, please call or email us for room availability.
When should I arrive?
We ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior your scheduled time to fill out paperwork and listen to game master's room briefing. The game starts at the time you signed up for. If you arrive late, you will lose those minutes from the clock. There are NO REFUNDS..
What is your Cancellation policy?
All sales are final, but you may choose to purchase escape game insurance for $3 per ticket at the time of booking which allows a full refund up to 48 hrs before the game. If you cancel with less than 48 hrs, we can reschedule the game if you can not make your appointment. All tickets are transferable.
